Below street level, under a vaulted brick ceiling: our most atmospheric room, with its own bar, its own bartender and the latest finish in the building.
Why this room
A brick cellar below East 7th Street
The Whiskey Cellar sits below street level at 77 East 7th Street, under a low, old vaulted brick ceiling. Warm light washes up the old brick, an iron chandelier hangs over the floor, and leather banquettes run the length of both walls. It is the speakeasy private room people imagine when they say "somewhere in the East Village with character" — and the room that ends up on everyone's phone.
It has its own bar at the far end, shelves of whiskey behind it and a bartender who works only for your party. There is a projector screen for the game or a slideshow and a DJ sound system, wired or Bluetooth, so the Whiskey Cellar handles both a dinner-and-toasts crowd and a birthday that runs late. On Fridays and Saturdays it is the only room open until 2 AM.
Many guests know it by its own name, Whiskey Cellar NYC — it has its own listing and dozens of reviews. It is the same room, the same address and the same team as the rest of B Lounge NYC, and it is booked the same way: send the date and the headcount, and we tell you what is open.

Our largest space, with room to move and a bar along the wall. Takes the biggest groups without splitting them.
We can run all three rooms at the same time — three separate parties, each in its own room with its own bar and bartender.

You don't rent the room — you meet a bar minimum
There's no charge for the space. You book a session and meet a minimum bar spend for it. If your group drinks past the minimum, you just pay for what you drank. Nothing gets added on top for the room.

Is the Whiskey Cellar the same as Whiskey Cellar NYC?
Yes. Whiskey Cellar NYC is the brick cellar room at B Lounge NYC, 77 East 7th Street. Same address, same phone, same team — you book it here or through the Whiskey Cellar listings you may have seen on Tagvenue.
How many guests fit in the Whiskey Cellar?
It is a private event space for 50 guests, with seating for around 30. For a cocktail-style party up to about 60 also works, because guests arrive and leave at different times.
What does the Whiskey Cellar cost?
No room fee — you meet a minimum spend on drinks. Friday and Saturday: $500 for the first session (4:30 to 8:30 PM) or $1,900 for the second session, 9 PM to 2 AM. Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday: $700 for a flexible session of up to four hours. Tax is included, gratuity is not, and a refundable deposit holds the date.
Can we bring a DJ?
Yes. The Whiskey Cellar has a DJ sound system with wired and Bluetooth connections, and your DJ can connect by RCA. The DJ brings their own console or mixer; external speakers are not permitted.
How late can a party in the Whiskey Cellar run?
Until 2 AM on Friday and Saturday — the only one of our three rooms that runs that late. On Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday sessions run between 5 PM and midnight.
