The Back Room
Suggested 40 guests
Cozy and candlelit, our most-booked room. Own bar, own bartender, a door you can close.
Your room, your bartender, your cake — and no charge for the room.

Bring the cake
Most bars in Manhattan either don't allow outside food or hit you with a cakeage fee per head. We don't do either. Bring the cake, bring the candles, bring catering from down the block if you want a real spread — none of it costs extra. What you pay for is what your group drinks.
The room's actually yours for the session. Your playlist over Bluetooth, your photos on the projector, your bartender behind your bar. It's a birthday, not a work mixer, and it should sound like the person it's for. That's the part most East Village birthday bars can't give you, because you're sharing the room with whoever else walked in.
Turning 30, turning 40, or just getting everybody in one place for once — tell us the headcount in the form and we'll tell you which room fits. A refundable deposit holds the date, and it comes back to you after the event.

Pricing
There's no charge for the space. You book a session and meet a minimum bar spend for it. If your group drinks past the minimum, you just pay for what you drank. Nothing gets added on top for the room.

Questions
Three of them. The Back Room holds about 40, the Whiskey Cellar about 50, the B Lounge about 60. Each has its own bar and its own bartender, and the Back Room and the Whiskey Cellar close off behind a door — so it's your party in there, not a section of somebody else's night.
Two things. There's no room charge, so you're not paying rent and a bar tab. And outside cake and catering are free — most spots in Manhattan either don't allow outside food or charge you per head for it. And everyone can open their own tab by credit card — every drink counts toward the minimum bar spend.
Yes, and it's free. Bring the cake, bring the candles, bring a full catered spread if you want one. No cakeage fee. What you pay for is what your group drinks.
Nothing for the room. You hit a bar minimum for the session: $700 Wednesday, Thursday or Sunday, and from $500 Friday and Saturday depending on the room and the session. No rental fee, no booking fee, any night.
Up to about 60. Under 40 people the Back Room is the one everybody picks — candlelit and close, so it never reads empty. Around 50 the Whiskey Cellar's brick vaults are what ends up on everyone's phone. For 60 and a crowd that moves, take the B Lounge. 21 and over with valid ID.
