Parents, friends, one room

A graduation party usually means two crowds at once — the family who flew in and the friends who got you through finals. Most graduation party venues in NYC put you at a few reserved tables in a busy bar. Here you get a private room for a graduation party, with its own bar and its own bartender, and no other party booked in it.

Bring the cake and the food — both free. Hang the balloons and the banner; decorations are welcome, only glitter, confetti and sparklers stay outside. Put the graduation photos on the projector and run your playlist over Bluetooth from a phone.

There's no rental fee. You meet a bar minimum for the session and guests can run their own tabs, so nobody gets handed one giant bill. Tell us the date and the headcount in the form and we'll tell you which room fits.

Choose your room

The Back Room at B Lounge NYC — private room for 40 guests

The Back Room

Suggested 40 guests

Cozy and candlelit, our most-booked room. Own bar, own bartender, a door you can close.

The Whiskey Cellar at B Lounge NYC — brick-vaulted private room for 50 guests

The Whiskey Cellar

Suggested 50 guests

Brick vaults below street level, and the room everybody photographs. The only room open until 2 AM on Friday and Saturday.

The B Lounge room at B Lounge NYC — largest private room, 60 guests

The B Lounge

Suggested 60 guests

Our largest space, with room to move and a bar along the wall. Takes the biggest groups without splitting them.

We can run all three rooms at the same time — three separate parties, each in its own room with its own bar and bartender.

Pricing

You don't rent the room — you meet a bar minimum

There's no charge for the space. You book a session and meet a minimum bar spend for it. If your group drinks past the minimum, you just pay for what you drank. Nothing gets added on top for the room.

Questions

Graduation parties, straight answers

Do you have a private room for a graduation party?

Three of them. The Back Room holds about 40, the Whiskey Cellar about 50 and the B Lounge up to 60. Each has its own bar and its own bartender, so the toast is to your graduate and nobody else's.

Is there an age limit?

Yes — 21 and over with valid ID, because every room has a full bar. That makes the rooms right for a college or grad-school graduation, not a high-school one.

Can we bring a cake, food and decorations?

Cake and catering are free to bring — no cakeage, no catering fee. There are folding tables for food, cake or gifts, plus a fridge and freezer. Decorations are welcome, except glitter, confetti and sparklers.

How much does a graduation party cost?

Nothing for the room. You meet a bar minimum for the session: $700 Wednesday, Thursday or Sunday, and from $500 Friday and Saturday depending on the room and the session. Guests can open their own tabs, or you can run a host tab.

Can family see the room before we book?

Yes. Walk in Wednesday to Sunday between 6 and 8 PM, no appointment needed, and a bartender will show you the rooms.
